Energy-Efficient Multiple Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Path Planning Scheme in Underwater Sensor Networks

The issue of limited energy resources is crucial for underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs) because these operate in remote and harsh environments where access to power sources limited. Overcoming the constraints necessary ensure long-term functionality sustainability UWSN, enabling continuous data collection communication various applications such as environmental monitoring surveillance. To solve problems difficulty battery replacement a path planning energy-saving scheme charging nodes using AUVs (autonomous vehicles) proposed. Applying multiple charge sensing network will maximize size well meet transmission reliability, optimal solved by genetic algorithm. Simulation results show that AUV convergence faster than conventional algorithms, lifetime UWSN prolonged while balancing according node density. In high-density networks, average consumption generated exploration reduced 15 percent each additional with our planning.
